Terms of Service

1. The service

QuoteMySteel is a request-for-quote and supplier-introduction platform. We organize steel requirements, provide non-binding market estimates, and introduce buyers to suppliers who may quote the project. We do not manufacture, sell, deliver, or install the material, and we are not a party to the purchase contract between a buyer and supplier.

2. Accounts

You may submit a request without an account. If you create one, keep your credentials secure and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. By submitting a project you grant us a limited license to store, process, and share that content as needed to organize your RFQ, estimate market pricing, recommend suppliers, and make direct introductions, including processing documents through our extraction pipeline.

You represent that you have the right to share the documents you upload and that doing so does not breach a confidentiality obligation or third-party right.

4. Quotes and pricing

Quotes presented on the platform originate from suppliers. Prices, lead times, availability and terms are theirs, are subject to change, and expire as stated on the quote. Comparison labels such as “lowest price” or “fastest delivery” describe only the data entered for the quotes shown and are not a recommendation. Verify specifications, grades, certifications and commercial terms directly with the supplier before you buy.

Market estimates are informational budget ranges based on available market data and stated project assumptions. They are not supplier quotes, bids, or offers to sell, and actual pricing may differ.

5. Automated extraction

We use automated tools to read your documents and produce a structured requirement list. This output is an aid, not a certified takeoff. It may be incomplete or contain errors, and information that is not stated in your documents is recorded as unknown rather than estimated. You remain responsible for confirming that what is ordered matches your design and specifications.

6. Cost to buyers

Submitting a project and receiving quotes is free for buyers and creates no obligation to purchase.

7. Suppliers

Supplier participation is subject to review and approval. Describing a supplier as approved or qualified refers only to our internal review process. It is not a warranty of their performance, financial condition or the conformity of their material.

8. Acceptable use

• Do not upload malware or attempt to breach the platform.
• Do not submit fictitious requests, scrape the service or resell access.
• Do not upload content you are not authorized to disclose.
• Comply with applicable export and trade regulations.

9. Availability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, a specific number of quotes, or a specific turnaround time unless expressly agreed in writing.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuoteMySteel is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost savings or project delays arising from use of the platform or from any transaction with a supplier.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your data. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above, and continued use after that date means you accept the revised terms.
