Privacy Policy

What we collect

We collect what you give us and what we need to run the service:

• Contact information — name, company, work email, phone and location provided when you submit an RFQ or create an account.
• Project content — your project description and any files you upload, including drawings, specifications, bills of material and schedules.
• Account data — authentication identifiers from Firebase Authentication when you sign in with email or Google.
• Usage data — pages viewed and product events recorded through Firebase Analytics. We do not send the content of your RFQ or your uploaded documents into analytics.

How we use it

• To review your request and prepare a supplier-ready RFQ.
• To share the relevant scope with suppliers who may quote your project.
• To contact you about your project, quotes received and the status of your request.
• To operate, secure and improve the platform.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not publish your documents.

Automated processing

Project descriptions and uploaded documents are processed by a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) to extract structured procurement data such as material categories, grades, dimensions and quantities. This happens server-side. Extracted output is reviewed by our team before it is used to recommend suppliers. If you would rather your documents were not processed this way, contact us at connect@cptapp.com and we will handle the project manually.

Sharing

• Suppliers — the project scope necessary to produce a quote. Your identity and contact details are shared when a quote or direct conversation requires it.
• Service providers — Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, analytics), Vercel (hosting) and OpenAI (document extraction).
• Legal — where required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of users.

Storage and security

Files are stored in Google Cloud Storage under access rules that restrict reads to the submitting account and our administrators. Access is authenticated on every request. No system is perfectly secure, so avoid uploading material you are not permitted to share.

Retention

Project records and files are retained while your account is active and for as long as needed to support supplier introductions or comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time.

Your choices

• Request a copy of the data associated with your account.
• Request correction or deletion of your project data.
• Opt out of analytics by using browser controls that block analytics scripts.
• Unsubscribe from non-essential email at any time.

Children

The platform is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

If we make material changes we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders.
